YSU Exam Extension & Adjusted Academic Calendar 2022/2023

YOBE STATE UNIVERSITY (YSU) EXTENDS EXAMINATIONS AND ADJUSTS 2022/2023 ACADEMIC CALENDAR.

YSU extends Level 1 & 2 examinations by two weeks, from 22nd May to 10th June 2023, leading to adjustments in the 2022/2023 academic calendar. The extension aims to provide ample time for lecturers to cover lectures and administer continuous assessments

First Semester:

Second Semester:

ETTC Meeting & Approval of Timetable: 12th June 2023 (1 day)
Second Semester Begins and Marking of First Semester Scripts: 13th June to 16th September 2023 (14 weeks)
Second Semester Examination: 18th September to 7th October 2023 (3 weeks)
Marking Period: 9th October to 27th October 2023 (3 weeks)
External Examination/Moderation and Consideration of Results at Departmental, GST, Faculty, and Senate Levels: 30th October to 24th November 2023 (4 weeks)
Inter-sessional Break and Admission of New Candidates for New Session: 27th November to 22nd December 2023 (4 weeks)

Note: The resumption date for the 2023/2024 academic session is yet to be determined.
